Colourful fish
I have designed pieces inspired by the behaviour and beauty of tropical fish I have seen. These two pieces are from two very different species of fish, who live in very different ways.
I adore clown fish for their colour and design, but I adore them even more for their reproductive habits. They have an incredible mutualistic relationship with anemones. Whilst the anemone shields the clownfish from predators, the clownfish feeds excreted nutrients to the anemone's endosymbiotic algae, resulting in one of my favourite finds while diving.
An Angel fish is a species that may appear in many differing colour patterns and have inspired these earrings. Their presence around coral contributes to the beautiful harmony of the reef. The way the light interacts with the scales of the swimming fish never ceases to surprise me.
