The Giant Squid
When I was 5 years old my father took me to see a gigantic squid almost 9 metres long that was displayed in the Natural History Museum. Apparently, this unique species, Architeuthis dux, had been caught at a depth of 220 metres. This experience exposed me to the unknown depths of the sea, which I found somewhat terrifying. It seemed almost strange, like something out of a bedtime story. This lengthy beast on the long table informed me that there was still so much to discover at sea.
I had always considered the sea as a luxurious location to rest and appreciate for its beauty, but after that day, I realised that it has many dangers and hidden mysteries, and that every aspect of nature must be respected.
